Description
ESD-Safe 3D Filament for Electronics and Automation Workflows

Onyx ESD is engineered for environments where electrostatic discharge must be controlled. Its surface resistance range of 10^5 to 10^7 ohms meets strict ESD requirements without additional coatings or finishing steps. As a result, it enables engineers to print 3D parts that protect sensitive components during assembly, handling, and automated operations. Onyx ESD also maintains the stiffness, strength, and smooth surface finish of standard Onyx, giving teams a material that performs mechanically while meeting ESD compliance standards.

Engineered Precision With ESD-safe 3D printing materials

This formulation blends carbon fiber nylon with ESD-safe control to produce accurate, repeatable components. It delivers strong flexural and tensile performance, comparable to many injection-molded engineering plastics. In addition, the material prints cleanly, resists warping, and maintains dimensional accuracy under load or temperature variation. As a result, Onyx ESD supports additive manufacturing materials workflows with precision and repeatability.

Reinforced Production with Markforged CFR Technology

Onyx ESD is compatible with the X7™, FX10™, and FX20™ platforms and integrates with Markforged’s Continuous Fiber Reinforcement (CFR). Engineers can reinforce parts with continuous carbon fiber, Kevlar®, or fiberglass while preserving ESD-safe performance. This capability allows teams to produce high-strength, static-safe components for electronics assembly tooling, robotic grippers, automation fixtures, and component trays. As a result, the material’s reliability helps manufacturers reduce part failures and maintain consistent performance in ESD-controlled environments.
