Mark Two

The Markforged Mark Two delivers industrial-grade precision and strength in a compact, dependable system. Designed for engineers who need performance without the footprint of a full production machine, it combines carbon fiber 3D printing with Onyx filament to produce parts that can replace machined aluminum. Each print maintains tight tolerances, excellent surface finish, and consistent strength. With a rigid aluminum frame and advanced motion control, the Mark Two offers reliable output for tools, fixtures, and end-use components that need to perform under real-world conditions.

Description
Onyx Filament and Continuous Fiber Reinforcement

The Mark Two prints in 3D materials including Onyx, Nylon, Smooth TPU 95A and more for high-performance, end use parts. In addition, these parts can increase their strength and rigidity with continuous fiber reinforcement (CFR), which embeds Carbon Fiber, Kevlar, or Fiberglass directly into the printed part. The combination of Onyx and CFR produces lightweight components that perform reliably under load with minimal post-processing. This material versatility allows engineers to tailor mechanical properties for specific applications, balancing strength, flexibility, and durability in a single print.

Aluminum-Strength Parts for Production Efficiency

Carbon Fiber reinforcement produces composite parts as strong as machined 6061-T6 aluminum. In addition, these parts are often an improvement in lead time and cost to produce, compared to their metal counterparts. By replacing metal with composites that resist corrosion and wear, manufacturers can improve durability and lower production costs. This shift also shortens lead times and streamlines fabrication, allowing engineers to design for strength without overbuilding. As a result, by using carbon fiber’s strength-to-weight ratio, manufacturers can print optimized tools, fixtures, and components for demanding applications in modern machine shop environments.

Integrated Workflow for Modern Manufacturing

The Markforged Mark Two fits seamlessly into modern manufacturing workflows. For example, it features automated calibration and material management, which simplifies setup and reduces variability between prints. In addition, it comes with the intuitive slicing software program, Eiger. This allows teams to precisely control fiber routing, infill density, and layer settings. The Digital Forge system’s reliability and ease of use enable continuous operation for both prototyping and production, helping manufacturers bring stronger, lighter parts to market faster.
