General Expectations In the performance of their respective tasks and duties all employees are expected to conform to the following:Responsible for managing a sales territory, which involves locating new potential customers and consulting with them concerning their manufacturing needs and supporting existing accounts through additional sales and service. The position involves analyzing customer needs to provide them with solutions, to increase sales and build strong business partnerships.

CommunicationsInternally, the employee communicates on a daily basis with the Sales Manager to report and discuss sales activities and strategies, to seek support and troubleshooting, and to evaluate projects. On a weekly basis, the employee communicates with the President to discuss sales strategies and projects. The Sales Engineer communicates with the Inside Sales Coordinator weekly to discuss and coordinate quotes and deliveries. Communication with the Application Engineers occurs weekly to discuss projects and demonstrations and to seek technical support. Field Service Engineers are communicated with on a weekly basis for technical and mechanical support. Weekly communication occurs amongst Sales Engineers to discuss projects and share sales leads.
Externally, the employee communicates with their customers on a daily basis to build sales and revenue. Communication with distributors occurs on an as needed basis to discuss questions and sales support.
Skills & QualificationsA Bachelor’s degree in Business or Mechanical Engineering, along with one to three years of outside sales experience is required for the position.
Must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Machining or manufacturing background as well as CMTSE certification preferred.
Must have excellent communication and relationship building skills.
Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Outlook. Experience using CRM software, ZOHO preferred.
Advanced reasoning and language ability are needed for the position. Intermediate mathematical skill is also necessary.
