• Territory Management: Manage an assigned sales region, focusing on both new customer development and existing account retention. Maintain a strategic plan for outreach, meetings, and territory growth.

• Sales and Revenue Generation: Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales goals by closing orders, preparing proposals, and aligning product recommendations with customer needs.

• Customer Relationship Development: Build and maintain strong relationships with manufacturers, plant managers, and engineering teams to become a trusted resource for manufacturing solutions.

• Product & Application Knowledge: Stay current with technical developments and trends in automation systems, CNC machinery, and integrated manufacturing technology to deliver accurate, value-driven recommendations.

• CRM and Reporting: Track opportunities and pipeline activity using CRM software. Submit regular updates, forecasts, and territory reports to management.

• Internal Team Collaboration: Coordinate with Inside Sales, Applications Engineers, and Service Teams to ensure seamless project execution and customer satisfaction

Qualifications & Requirements

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience in CNC machining, machine tool service, or technical sales within the manufacturing industry.
• Background in industrial equipment or automation industry jobs is highly valued.

Technical Skills

• Solid understanding of CNC systems and machining applications.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Outlook for quoting, tracking leads, and managing accounts.
• Familiarity with DOS, Windows OS, and basic networking protocols.
• Experience working with CRM systems (ZOHO preferred) to maintain customer and sales data.

Communication & Soft Skills

• Professional written and verbal communication skills to engage confidently with engineers, shop owners, and decision-makers.
• Strong problem-solving and diagnostic capabilities.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage a defined sales territory.
• Organized, goal-oriented, and responsive to both customer and internal needs.

• Flexibility to travel locally and regionally to meet with clients.
• Ability to support product demos, on-site assessments, and training events as needed.
